| The main shopping centre is only a short stroll from the Barbican where the Mount Batten water taxi berths. All the usual national retail outlets line the broad pedestrianised shopping streets in the centre. Naturally, Plymouth has plenty of fine restaurants, and a new multi-screen Warner Village has opened recently. Plymouth Theatre Royal is the cultural hub of the city and regularly hosts Glyndebourne, Welsh National Opera, and Birmingham Royal Ballet, together with a continuous programme of comedy, drama and world class musicals. |
